A short banner of pale undyed cloth, swallow-tailed at the hem and marked with a single fermentation jar, given to whoever has made every preparation in the pantry. It is made to hang on a wall; carrying it does nothing at all.
Usage
Hanging it at the storehouse
Aim at the side of a wall and it hangs facing you. It will not sit on a floor or a ceiling, and it drops if the wall behind it goes. Hang one by the storehouse door and anyone outside can tell that everything from salt to stock is made here.
Behavior
One each
It comes once, at the moment the last preparation is in hand. If your pack is full it falls at your feet rather than vanishing, and everyone who finishes gets their own.
Telling the two apart
It shares its shape with the banner given for cooking every dish; what is dyed into the cloth is what differs — a black pot there, a fired clay jar here. Nothing stops you hanging both side by side.
Nothing but a keepsake
You cannot craft it, trade for it, or find it anywhere. It helps with no fight, no digging and no meal; it is there to be looked at. Lose it and what you did still happened.
