Usage
Where the salt line starts
Load brine sand from the beach with a water bottle and it leaches out concentrated brine. No heat needed.
Input, work in progress and output
Restock the input slots on the left. A valid batch moves into the bright working slots in the middle, then finishes in the output slots on the right. Restocking or replacing input does not change that batch. Working items can be recovered, but cannot be inserted directly. Removing part of a batch cancels it; recover the remainder before starting another.

Input and working slots are arranged vertically. Feed the upper input from above and the lower input from the sides.

Light blue patches spread across the top when leaching starts, then gradually recede to reveal the original sand pattern at completion.
What the spent sand is for
The leached sand lands in the byproduct slot. Lay it back on a coastal salt field and it regenerates — the loop never buys sand twice.
