Draining Bed

CategoryCookware

The draining bed that drips nigari off wet salt; time is all it needs.

Obtaining

Crafting Table

Usage

The salt line's finish

Lay the wet salt down and let it rest — it parts into salt and nigari. No heat; time does the work, and the arrow shows how far along it is.

Input, work in progress and output

Restock the input slots on the left. A valid batch moves into the bright working slots in the middle, then finishes in the output slots on the right. Restocking or replacing input does not change that batch. Working items can be recovered, but cannot be inserted directly. Removing part of a batch cancels it; recover the remainder before starting another.

Behavior

Visible processing

Drops fall from the salt bed into the tray while it drains.

In the real world

The Japanese name い出場 is read ideba. It is the place where boiled salt rests while nigari drains away.

Differences in game

The real process uses a resting place and time; satoyama represents it as one device with a byproduct slot.
