Usage

As storage

Use the pocket in hand to open its inventory and move items in and out on the spot. Pockets themselves do not stack.

Wearing it

Put it in the chest armor slot to carry it on your belly and open it without taking it off. The cloth shows whatever color you dyed it and the clasp keeps its tier color. The opening is listed in the satoyama section of Controls as Open Portable Storage — it starts unbound, so assign whichever key you like. In the inventory screen the same key opens the pocket under the cursor (nothing happens with nothing there). Taking the pocket off closes the screen at once.

Peeking inside

Point at it on any screen: the contents appear inside the tooltip without opening anything. They sit where the storage screen puts them, and the empty cells of the whole capacity show as well, so two pockets holding the same things still look different when their capacities differ. An empty one says so in a word. It is a look only — nothing moves in or out from there.

Dyeing

Craft with any dye to recolor the cloth; wash it out in a water cauldron to restore the original color.

Behavior

Upgrading

Surround it with the next tier’s ingots (diamonds for the diamond tier) in the center of a crafting table to upgrade; the contents carry over. The ladder runs copper → iron → gold → diamond → netherite (smithing table), one step at a time — no skipping, no downgrades.

Handling notes

Storage that could hold a pocket — pockets, shulker boxes, bundles — will not go inside (the other direction is fine: a pocket stows in a shulker box or ender chest). It cannot be placed as a block and does not connect to hoppers. Dropped, it is an ordinary item — explosions and lava destroy every tier but netherite.
