A long summer robe sewn from cotton. Modest protection — this is clothing you dye and wear.
Obtaining
Usage
The satoyama look
Put it in the chest armor slot to wear a wrapped robe with a sash at the waist. It guards little — this is worn to look the part, not to survive a fight.
Dyeing and washing
Craft it with any dye to recolor the cloth. The stripes and the sash never dye, so they survive every color. Wash it out in a water-filled cauldron to return to the original indigo.
Mending it
It wears out as you wear it. Repair it on an anvil with cotton cloth; Unbreaking and Mending take to it just as they do to any other armor.
Behavior
Not fighting gear
The protection is slight and there is nothing else — no speed, no stealth, no set bonus.

In the real world
A yukata is a long summer robe of a single layer of cotton. The two front panels wrap across each other and a sash holds them at the waist. The sleeves hang wide from the shoulder and the hem reaches the ankle. The cloth carries a dyed pattern.
Differences in game
Real robes reach the ankle, and their patterns — flowers, waves, stripes — differ from one garment to the next. Satoyama stops the hem at the waist and keeps only the vertical stripes. The sash is a separate cloth in life, but it is included here so that one garment can show the wrapped figure.
