Usage

Laying them

A mat runs two blocks in the direction you face. With that way blocked it runs back towards you instead, so it still fits against a wall. Break either block and the whole mat comes up as one item.

Turning the grain

Turn the mat and its grain turns with it. Real rooms are laid with the grain alternating from mat to mat, so how you arrange them changes how the floor reads.

As an ingredient

Crafting Table

Behavior

The three layers

Woven rush on top, compressed straw underneath, cloth sewn down the long edges. The recipe is those three things.

Resurfacing

Replace the rush surface and cloth edging of a worn or dirty mat to make it fresh again. The straw bed stays, so no straw is needed.
