Usage
When you are being chased
Strew them behind you and whatever steps in loses ground while it is in them. This is not a trap that kills; it is a way to buy distance.
Where they can be strewn
They only lie on a solid surface. Caltrops do not stack on caltrops, and they scatter loose when whatever they rested on is gone.
Picking them up
A hoe collects them quickly. Anything else works, but slowly.
