Usage
Setting them out on the ice
Right-click with raw fish or raw meat to set one down where you aimed; an empty hand takes back the nearest one. Anywhere on a big fish will do — the whole fish comes back.
How much it holds
One big fish fills the crate, two middling ones fit, or four small ones. Meat and fillets each take one place. Mixing is fine — one middling fish and two small ones share it. A fish lies across places that are next to each other, so a gap left in the middle will not take a big one.
What it takes
Raw fish, fillets, and raw meat go in. Sashimi, cooked dishes, dried and cured things do not, and vegetables belong in the produce crate.
Behavior
Reading it with redstone
A comparator reports the number of the place where the last thing set down or taken off begins — 1 at the back left, 2 at the back right, 3 at the front left, 4 at the front right — and 0 on a crate nobody has touched. It does not report how full it is. An observer fires whenever anything is set down or taken off.
