Behavior

Copper does not go in bare

Copper only turns green once it is dissolved into a glaze. What goes into the kiln is the glaze with the copper already in it.

In the real world

The green of Oribe is copper melted into a glaze in an oxidising fire — a few percent of it stirred into a glaze of ash and feldspar.

Differences in game

Satoyama gives you no control over how much copper goes in or how the kiln is run; raw copper is simply the crushable colourant, and the green comes out one way.
